Transparent and competitive pricing plans designed to help you manage your weight loss journey effectively.
What is orforglipron (the Foundayo pill)?
Orforglipron is a once-a-day tablet in the GLP-1 receptor agonist class - the same broad family as well-known weight loss injections but delivered orally. Chugai Pharmaceutical discovered the molecule and handed it to Eli Lilly under licence in 2018 [2].
America approved it on 1 April 2026 as Foundayo, the brand you'll see used interchangeably with the generic name orforglipron. The US indication covers adults with obesity and adults who are overweight and carry at least one weight-related condition, always paired with fewer calories and more movement [2,3].

Set off on the right foot with weight loss medication that’s proven to help you hit the ground running and reach your goals faster.
GLP-1 medications reduce cravings by directly influencing the brain's reward centre, reducing the urge to reach for unhealthy snacks.
GLP-1 medications help to lower the body's natural weight ‘set point’, so weight can continue to be lost without hitting a plateau.
By improving insulin sensitivity, GLP-1 medications can help manage weight for everyone - even those with slower metabolic rates.

How much weight could you lose?
Clinical trials for prescription weight loss medication show significant, sustained results for eligible adults. On average, patients in published studies lost between 14% and 21% of their body weight over 12 to 18 months — that's the equivalent of 12–18kg for someone who weighs 85kg.
Your individual results will depend on your starting weight, the treatment your clinician recommends, and how closely you follow your programme. Use the calculator below to see an estimate based on your details.

Frequently asked questions
What is Foundayo?
Foundayo is the US brand name for orforglipron, Eli Lilly's once-daily weight-loss pill. It's an oral small-molecule GLP-1 receptor agonist for adults with obesity, or overweight with a weight-related condition. Unlike injections or the Wegovy tablet, it can be taken any time of day with no food or water restrictions. It was FDA-approved in April 2026 but is not yet licensed in the UK [2,6].
When will orforglipron be available in the UK?
It is not available yet. Foundayo is just the American brand name for orforglipron, and orforglipron holds no UK marketing authorisation - so no pharmacy here can legally prescribe or supply it [6]. Eli Lilly is expected to file with the MHRA during 2026, which could bring a UK licence in late 2026 or early 2027. NICE guidance on NHS use is due on 18 November 2026, subject to that licence being granted [6].
Where can I buy orforglipron?
You cannot buy orforglipron legitimately in the UK at all just now as it has no licence. Therefore, anyone offering orforglipron to UK customers is operating outside the law. A legal route only opens once a licence is granted, at which point registered pharmacies could supply it on private prescription [6].
Who manufactures orforglipron?
Orforglipron is manufactured by Eli Lilly and Company, the US pharmaceutical firm behind Mounjaro (tirzepatide). Lilly developed it as a once-daily oral GLP-1 tablet and markets it in the US under the brand name Foundayo [2].
Could I get Foundayo on a private prescription?
Not as things stand. A private prescription still needs the medicine itself to be UK-licensed, and orforglipron isn't yet licensed in the UK [6]. In terms of NHS availability, NICE guidance is due on 18 November 2026, and access would then hinge on both a positive recommendation and a UK licence [6].
How much is orforglipron?
There's no UK price while it's unlicensed. US self-pay starts around $149 a month at the lowest dose [2], but that won't reflect eventual UK pricing.
Which has faster results, Wegovy or Foundayo?
There's no head-to-head study, so no fair verdict exists. On its own numbers, orforglipron 36 mg averaged 11.2% weight loss over 72 weeks [4]. The clear day-to-day edge is convenience - no food or water timing, whereas the Wegovy tablet needs an 8-hour fast and a 30-minute wait afterwards [1,2].
How long do Foundayo side effects last?
Most Foundayo (orforglipron) side effects are mild to moderate and short-lived. Nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea are most common in the first few weeks and just after each dose increase, then usually ease within days to a few weeks as your body adjusts - which is why the dose is stepped up gradually. Severe or persistent symptoms should be checked by a healthcare professional [3].
How to say orforglipron
Orforglipron is pronounced "or-for-GLIP-ron" - four syllables, with the stress on the third ("GLIP"). The brand name Foundayo is said "foun-DAY-oh."
Is it the same thing as Mounjaro?
No. Mounjaro is tirzepatide - a peptide, injected weekly, acting on both the GIP and GLP-1 receptors. Orforglipron is a small-molecule daily tablet acting on GLP-1 alone. Same maker, Eli Lilly; different drugs [2].
Does Orforglipron cause pancreatitis?
Acute pancreatitis has been reported with GLP-1 receptor agonists, orforglipron included. Severe, persistent abdominal pain means stop taking it and get urgent medical advice [3].
Can I combine orforglipron with my current weight loss injection?
No - orforglipron shouldn't be taken with another GLP-1 medicine [3], and you should never stack weight-loss drugs without your prescriber's say-so.
How will I know when it's available?
We keep this page current, so check back for the latest. Bear in mind a licence isn't the finish line - it can still take a while for a newly approved medicine to reach pharmacy shelves.
